Bugatti Brouillard : A One-Off Masterpiece Launching the Programme Solitaire

Bugatti may have stepped into a new era with the hybrid Tourbillon, but the legendary W16 engine isn’t bowing out just yet. The French automaker has revealed its latest bespoke creation, the Bugatti Brouillard, a one-off hypercar that redefines exclusivity and artistry. Powered by the iconic quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 producing an astonishing 1,578 horsepower, the Brouillard continues the lineage of the Chiron, while previewing the new Programme Solitaire—Bugatti’s ultimate coachbuilding initiative.
Commissioned by Dutch entrepreneur Michel Perridon, the world’s largest private Bugatti collector, the Brouillard will make its official debut at the Monterey Car Week in California. Inspired by Ettore Bugatti’s favorite horse, this one-of-one coupe is both a tribute to heritage and a symbol of future craftsmanship.

Exterior : A Sculpted Tribute to Legacy
At first glance, the Brouillard resembles a coupe version of the W16 Mistral roadster, but nearly every panel has been custom-designed. The front fascia showcases a sculpted bumper, an oversized horseshoe grille, and futuristic fender-mounted LED headlights with additional cooling intakes. Its profile highlights the signature C-shaped carbon accents, contrasted against a striking vibrant green finish. Aggressively flared rear fenders blend into a bespoke rear deck with a roof scoop, while the tail features a sleek ducktail wing, X-shaped taillights, and a diffuser housing four exhaust pipes reminiscent of the Chiron Super Sport.

Interior : Bespoke Luxury Meets Artistic Detail
Inside, the Brouillard’s cabin is a masterclass in personalization. While it retains the Chiron’s layout, nearly every detail has been reimagined. A green-themed palette dominates, blending Parisian tartan fabrics, green-tinted carbon fiber, hand-stitched leather, and machined aluminum finishes. A breathtaking highlight is the handcrafted sculpture of the Brouillard horse embedded in the aluminum gear shifter, showcased under a glass insert. Horse motifs adorn the door panels and seatbacks, reinforcing the car’s equestrian identity.

Programme Solitaire : Bugatti’s Next Chapter in Coachbuilding
The Brouillard is the very first model born under Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire, a new ultra-exclusive initiative that goes beyond the Sur Mesure program. Limited to just two creations per year, each Solitaire model will be tailored to its commissioner’s vision, blending Bugatti’s engineering excellence with bespoke artistry.
According to Hendrik Malinowski, Managing Director of Bugatti:
“The Programme Solitaire allows us to authentically explore the unique visions of our clients, with no compromises on performance, quality, or design. Each Solitaire will be unique and peerless, offering a level of attention to detail unseen in the automotive world.”
The Brouillard proves that Bugatti’s W16 is not just an engine, but a symbol of legacy. As the world anticipates the future Tourbillon era, creations like the Brouillard remind us that heritage and innovation can coexist—beautifully.
