Manhart BMW M5 MH5 900E Packs Nearly 900 HP With Wild Turbo Upgrades and Carbon Aero

The latest BMW M5 is already a monster straight out of the factory. With its 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged hybrid V8 pushing out 717 horsepower and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque, it comfortably outguns many so-called supercars. But in the world of performance tuning, there is always room for more—and that’s exactly what German tuner Manhart has delivered with its outrageous MH5 900E build.

Power Upgrades That Redefine the Super Sedan

Manhart has a long history of extracting jaw-dropping performance from BMW M models, and its latest creation takes things to the next level. The company swapped in upgraded turbochargers, installed its proprietary MHtronik powerbox, and fitted an in-house stainless steel exhaust system with race downpipes and adjustable valves.

The result? An astonishing 897 horsepower and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque—numbers that put the tuned M5 squarely in supercar territory. While Manhart hasn’t shared official acceleration figures yet, expect blistering performance that comfortably outpaces the standard M5.

Handling and Braking Upgrades

Power means nothing without control, and Manhart has thought of that too. The MH5 900E comes fitted with lowering springs for improved stance and cornering ability. Customers who want even sharper handling can opt for KW Variant 4 coilovers, a popular upgrade among track enthusiasts.

Stopping power is provided by BMW M’s factory-fitted carbon-ceramic brakes, but Manhart also offers aftermarket options for those who demand even more bite on the road or track.

Aggressive Carbon Fiber Styling

Performance isn’t the only area where the MH5 900E stands out. Manhart has transformed the M5’s styling with a suite of carbon fiber aero parts, including:

  • A new spoiler lip
  • Canards for added downforce
  • A reworked rear diffuser
  • Aggressive side skirts

Completing the package are forged wheels, available in 22×10.5 front / 22×11 rear (with 295/30 and 315/30 tires) or an alternative staggered set featuring 21×10.5 front / 22×11.5 rear wheels wrapped in 285/35 and 305/30 tires. To top it off, Manhart adds champagne-colored decals—a bold visual signature, though certainly not to everyone’s taste.

The Ultimate Evolution of the BMW M5

With close to 900 hp, race-ready hardware, and exotic styling, the Manhart MH5 900E pushes the already mighty BMW M5 into a whole new performance league. It’s a reminder that even in an era of electrification, tuning culture is alive and well, and companies like Manhart are still finding ways to give enthusiasts what they crave: more speed, more drama, and more exclusivity.

For BMW purists, this build demonstrates just how far the platform can be taken. For everyone else, it’s proof that the super sedan wars are far from over.
