BMW M3 CS Touring 2025 : A Sharper, Faster, and More Exclusive Performance Wagon

Just like its sedan sibling, the BMW M3 Touring now receives the coveted CS (Competition Sport) badge. This high-performance variant refines the already explosive recipe of the M3 Touring Competition with more power, a sharper design, and limited-edition exclusivity.

Unveiled in early 2025, the BMW M3 CS Touring represents Munich’s answer to the ever-growing demand for high-performance wagons that blend family practicality with motorsport DNA.

Lightweight Engineering with a Subtle Touch

While “CS” traditionally stands for a lighter, sharper machine, BMW has only trimmed 15 kg from the Touring’s weight thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber components. At 1,925 kg, this is still a heavyweight, but one capable of defying physics. The carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof, front splitter, mirror caps, and rear diffuser contribute to both weight savings and a more aggressive aesthetic.

More Power Under the Hood

The biggest evolution lies beneath the hood. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six has been tuned to deliver 550 horsepower at 6,250 rpm, up by 20 hp compared to the M3 Competition Touring. Torque remains at a healthy 650 Nm, available between 2,750 and 5,950 rpm.

Power is distributed via an 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox and BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, ensuring relentless traction. The result? 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds and 200 km/h in 11.7 seconds. With the optional M Driver’s Package, the CS Touring reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph), making it one of the fastest wagons on the planet.

Design and Exclusive Features

Visually, the CS Touring distinguishes itself with new headlight signatures, redesigned grilles, and a full carbon-fiber aerodynamic kit. Customers can choose between exclusive shades such as BMW Individual Laguna Seca Blue, British Racing Green, Frozen Solid White, and Sapphire Black Metallic, each contrasted by a gloss-black roof and roof spoiler.

The wagon sits on staggered alloy wheels—19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear—available in matte Gold Bronze or matte Black, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires (275/35 ZR19 front, 285/30 ZR20 rear). Carbon ceramic brakes are optional for maximum stopping power.

A Premium and Sporty Interior

Inside, the CS features RS bucket seats, upholstered in lightweight materials with CS red logos integrated throughout the cabin—on the console, bucket seats, and door sills. BMW’s iDrive 8 infotainment system, paired with a curved digital display, keeps the interior modern and tech-forward while maintaining the driver-focused cockpit feel.

Pricing and Availability

In France, the BMW M3 CS Touring starts at €165,500, but with a malus tax penalty of around €60,000 due to CO2 emissions rated at 235 g/km (WLTP cycle). This positions the CS significantly above the BMW M3 Competition Touring (€124,300).

Deliveries will begin in March 2025, with markets including Europe, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. The model will make its public debut at the Mount Panorama Circuit during the legendary Bathurst 12 Hour endurance race. The largest market, unsurprisingly, will be Germany, where the model is produced in Munich.

Conclusion

The BMW M3 CS Touring 2025 is not just another wagon—it’s an exclusive collector’s car that blends raw performance, everyday practicality, and motorsport heritage. With 550 hp, track-ready upgrades, and limited global availability, it sets a new benchmark for the super-wagon segment, taking the fight to rivals like the Audi RS6 Avant and the Mercedes-AMG E63 S Estate.
