Ford Unveils Two Stunning Bronco Concepts for Its 60th Anniversary Celebration

As part of its 60th anniversary celebration of the Bronco, Ford has revealed two spectacular one-off concept models based on the Bronco and the Bronco Sport. These unique creations pay tribute to the legendary off-roader’s adventurous spirit, while also drawing direct inspiration from the Silver Lake Sand Dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan.
Both concepts are finished in Azure Gray, a striking shade that mirrors the tones of the lake and sky. To make them even more distinctive, Ford designers applied a bold orange vinyl dune graphic that rises across the bodywork, evoking the movement of sand against the horizon. This combination of blue and orange feels almost tailor-made for the Bronco’s boxy silhouette, highlighting its rugged yet modern personality.

Distinctive Design Details
Ford didn’t stop at paintwork. Both Broncos feature Yakima paddleboard racks and crossbars, turning them into lifestyle-ready machines for water sports enthusiasts. Additional LED light bars emphasize their off-road character and provide extra visibility when venturing out after sunset.

- Bronco Concept: Stands tall on Heritage wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich T/A KO3 tires, delivering a retro look with modern capability.
- Bronco Sport Concept: Wears wheels borrowed from the Mustang Mach-E Rally, finished in black and shod in BFGoodrich XL TRTERTA tires. Painted fenders and newly designed tow hooks give it an extra dose of toughness.
Can Bronco Owners Get the Look?
Unfortunately, Ford has confirmed these two Broncos are locked away as one-offs and won’t be hitting showrooms. However, Bronco and Bronco Sport owners inspired by the design aren’t entirely out of options. Ford suggests using Ford Performance Parts & Accessories, along with the help of a skilled vinyl graphics installer, to recreate the dune-inspired appearance.
While it requires a bit of DIY effort, the results could closely capture the official concepts’ unique Azure Gray and dune orange theme, making it possible for owners to replicate the spirit of these exclusive builds.
Ford’s Recent Bronco Experiments
These two new creations aren’t the only special edition Broncos unveiled this year. In June, Ford partnered with alice + olivia, a luxury fashion brand, to create the Storm Floral Edition and Denim Chevron Edition. Both combined bold styling with high-fashion aesthetics.
Earlier in April, Ford even crashed Jeep’s famous Easter Safari in Moab, presenting two rugged Bronco concepts clad in matte red protective film, cementing the Bronco’s place as Jeep’s most direct rival in the off-road space.
With this consistent stream of creative concepts, Ford proves the Bronco is not just a vehicle—it’s a lifestyle icon that continues to evolve while staying true to its roots.
