BYD Atto 2 City EV Launched in Europe: Pricing, Specs, Range & Features

BYD has officially revealed pricing for its all-new Atto 2 city EV, a compact electric SUV designed for the European market. The model, first showcased at the Brussels Motor Show 2025, will be available in just two trims at launch: the Boost and the Comfort.

Pricing & Trims

  • Atto 2 Boost – starting at £30,850
  • Atto 2 Comfort – priced from £34,950

Both trims come generously equipped as standard, featuring a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, allowing the car to power external devices.

Battery Options & Range

The most significant difference lies in the battery capacity:

  • Boost: 51 kWh battery, 214-mile WLTP range, 30–80% charging in 30 minutes.
  • Comfort: 64.8 kWh battery, 261-mile WLTP range, ultra-fast 155kW DC charging from 30–80% in just 21 minutes.

BYD confirmed that more versions will follow, including a long-range variant with different powertrain configurations.

Design & Dimensions

The Atto 2 is positioned just below the larger Atto 3, measuring 4310mm long, 1830mm wide, and 1675mm tall, with a 2620mm wheelbase. This compact footprint makes it ideal for urban driving while offering a spacious interior.

The design is minimalist yet modern, featuring full LED headlights, slim DRLs, and a rear light bar with a unique “figure-of-eight” design. Standard paint is Climbing Grey, with options including Hiking Green, Skiing White, and Cosmos Black.

Interior & Tech

Inside, the Atto 2 focuses on practicality, with ample storage compartments, cup holders, and armrests. A panoramic glass roof ensures a bright, airy cabin, while the flat rear floor maximizes passenger comfort thanks to BYD’s Cell-to-Body battery integration.

The Atto 2 debuts with BYD’s advanced Blade Battery technology, offering improved safety and durability. Standard features also include OTA software updates, smart navigation, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Market Impact

Targeting the competitive B-segment SUV market, the Atto 2 competes against the Peugeot e-2008, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Volkswagen ID.2. According to Stella Li, BYD’s Vice President, the model is designed to “deliver agility, efficiency, and intelligent technology to urban EV buyers.”

Sales will officially begin next month, with deliveries expected across Europe shortly after.
