Shanghai/Ingolstadt, April 23, 2025 – Audi is making a powerful statement at Auto Shanghai 2025 by revealing five all-new models and showcasing a total of 19 vehicles in collaboration with its local partners FAW and SAIC. With China leading the global shift to electric mobility, Audi aims to reinforce its position with a dual focus on electric and combustion-powered vehicles tailored for the Chinese market.

Next-Gen Innovation: Audi’s Bold China-Exclusive Lineup
Audi is updating and expanding its China-specific portfolio from mid-2025. The new vehicles feature advanced platforms such as:
- Premium Platform Electric (PPE)
- Premium Platform Combustion (PPC)
- Advanced Digitized Platform, co-developed with SAIC

Meet the Five World Premieres at Auto Shanghai 2025
Audi A5L
A redesigned mid-size sedan, produced by FAW-Audi, with an extended wheelbase (+77 mm) offering more cabin space. Powered by advanced 48V mild-hybrid combustion engines, it combines luxury, space, and efficiency. It comes standard with a human-centric digital cockpit featuring the new Audi MMI panoramic display.
Audi A5L Sportback
This SAIC-exclusive version of the A5 features dynamic Sportback styling and cutting-edge powertrains. Built on the Premium Platform Combustion, it blends performance, efficiency, and a unique rear design that reflects Audi’s sporty DNA.
Audi Q5L
A long-wheelbase version of the global Q5 (+125 mm), with 48V mild-hybrid technology and a spacious interior. Built on the PPC platform, it is engineered for both power and passenger comfort, addressing the growing demand for premium SUVs in China.
Audi A6L e-tron
A new, fully electric luxury sedan built locally by Audi FAW NEV in Changchun. With an extended wheelbase (+132 mm), a 107 kWh battery, 800V architecture, and a range of up to 770 km, this EV sets a benchmark for performance, efficiency, and ultra-fast charging in the executive segment.
AUDI E5 Sportback
The first production model from Audi’s new sub-brand “AUDI”, developed with SAIC. A fully electric Sportback offering quattro all-wheel drive, up to 579 kW of power, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It blends Audi’s dynamic heritage with China’s rapid innovation and digital ecosystem.
