Dreame’s Rolls Royce-Inspired SUV Set for 2027 Production, Complete with Lounge Seats and Four Motors

Chinese tech giant Dreame, best known globally for its vacuum cleaners and home appliances, has entered the automotive industry with ambitions that are already stirring controversy. The company recently unveiled teaser images of its first-ever luxury SUV, a still-unnamed model that bears an uncanny resemblance to the Rolls Royce Cullinan. Scheduled for production in 2027, the SUV blends bold design cues with advanced EV technology, positioning Dreame as a bold—if polarizing—entrant into the luxury car market.
From the outset, the SUV’s design screams Cullinan cosplay. The massive grille, blocky silhouette, and signature rear-hinged coach doors mirror Rolls Royce styling, although Dreame stopped short of copying the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot. At the rear, taillights closely echo the Cullinan’s, though Dreame added a unique chrome strip stretching between them, lending a slight twist to its imitation game. With a wheelbase of 3.2 meters, the vehicle delivers extraordinary cabin space. Passengers in the rear will enjoy captain’s chairs reclining to 145 degrees and up to 1.2 meters of legroom, turning the SUV into a rolling lounge.
Engineering Beyond the Imitation
Dreame insists the SUV is more than just a copycat. It features its proprietary CTP 4.0 battery system, anchored by a 100 kWh pack with an optional range extender. Four independent electric motors deliver power, while a rear-wheel steering system—capable of turning up to 24 degrees—shrinks the turning radius to under 5 meters. Ride comfort is managed by AI-powered adaptive suspension that leverages lidar, radar, and cameras to adjust height and stiffness in real time.
Dreame founder Yu Hao also touted a preheating system that keeps the hybrid engine at optimal temperature, reportedly cutting fuel consumption by 38% and emissions by 43%. Though details remain scarce, the SUV will feature brake-by-wire technology and a smart chassis capable of scanning the road to anticipate changes.
Ambitions Beyond the SUV
This SUV isn’t Dreame’s only headline-making car. The brand is also preparing a Bugatti Chiron-inspired sedan, set for a CES 2026 reveal in Las Vegas. Reports claim it will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in under 1.8 seconds, with a drag coefficient as low as 0.185—figures that, if true, would shake the hypercar market. Both the SUV and sedan will allegedly be built in Germany, near Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory, underscoring Dreame’s global ambitions.
Beyond Dreame Auto, the company is establishing Starry Sky Auto, another division benchmarking Rolls Royce and Bentley to create four additional luxury models from shared components. Clearly, Dreame’s catalog of “inspired” cars is just beginning, and its blend of luxury design mimicry with ambitious tech could either disrupt or derail its journey into automotive history.
